Sleep is like any other biological need. How good does water taste when your throat is parched? How about when you get some food after you feel like you’ve been starving? Your body has been craving sleep, and a dream where you’re sleeping is the equivalent of the desert traveler guzzling a gallon of ice-cold water: “Glug, glug, glug!”
If there’s any other dream that’s more natural to have, it’s hard to say. Such a dream is as natural as a sunset at the end of the day.
In the dream, the other location symbolizes something to you if you’re sleeping somewhere besides your bed. That includes if your mattress is in the middle of another place.
Say you live in New York City and take the metro every day. If you dream your bed is in the middle of New York’s Grand Central Station and commuters are rushing around you and your bed, your subconscious might be trying to soothe you.
